Privacy notice

What we collect

Your name, contact details, date of birth, address, family and income details, course and exam details, and the documents you upload (such as certificates, fee receipts, recommendation letter and ration card). If you are selected, your bank account details. We do not collect Aadhaar numbers.

Why we collect it

Only to assess your scholarship application, to manage your scholarship and renewals, and to contact you about them. With your separate consent we may also help you find other scholarships or refer your family to other Wisdom welfare schemes.

Who can see it

Only scholarship committee members and volunteers who need it for their task, and only for the districts they cover. Documents are stored privately and are never published. Bank details are visible only to the committee members responsible for payments. Access to documents and bank details is recorded.

Children under 18

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to this notice. The portal asks for their name when you start.

How long we keep it

Documents of applicants who are not selected are deleted after a retention period set by the committee. Records of scholars are kept for the scheme period and an audit period after it ends.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and you can withdraw consent, by contacting the scholarship office. Deleting information may mean we can no longer process your application.
