Accessibility

We want every student and family to be able to use this scholarship website and the application portals. This page explains what we have built in and how to ask for help.

What you can adjust

Use the accessibility button (the person-in-a-circle icon) at the top of every page to:

• make text larger (two extra sizes),
• switch between light, dark and high-contrast colours,
• reduce animation, and
• underline all links.

Your choices are remembered on your device. The site is available in English and Malayalam.

What we have built in

• Everything works with a keyboard. A "Skip to main content" link is the first stop on every page.
• Clear visible focus outlines, and colour contrast designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.
• Proper headings, landmarks and form labels so screen readers can navigate. Errors are announced and explained in words, not only colour.
• Large touch targets and layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed text.
• Documents can be added from a phone camera, with no special software.

Known limits

The Malayalam text is a first translation and is being reviewed. Some uploaded documents, such as scanned certificates, are images and cannot be read by a screen reader.
